Comment: The ICNIRP guidelines were last updated in 1998. For 1800 MHz GSM the guidance level is 9.000.000 µW/m² (=58 V/m), averaged over 6 minute exposure. These guidelines protect only from acute thermal effects. The ICNIRP exposure level is approx. 900 quadrillion times higher than natural background microwave radiation levels (0.000.000.000.010 µW/m²).

Comment: : Based on a review of biological effects. Focuses on chronic, 24/7 exposure. Recommends 100 µW/m² indoors and 1000 µW/m² (=0,6 V/m) outdoors, lately endorsed by the European Parliament and adopted in several cities in France.
